# Resend Customer OTP

POST https://shimi-waas-api-9493532b9281.herokuapp.com/api/v1/customer/regenerate-otp
Content-Type: application/json

Re-triggers BVN validation and issues a fresh OTP for a customer who hasn't completed **Generate Customer Account** yet. Fails if the customer already has a dedicated account, or has no prior BVN/KYC record.

**Body (JSON)**

**Behaviour notes**
- Re-runs BVN validation with the provider, which sends a new OTP, and replaces the customer's KYC record. `data` is the new KYC verification record.
- A missing `customerId` returns **401** (not 400) with `all fields required`.
